Lance Manalo

Co-founder/President/Coach

Lance Manalo is acting as Hawaii Basketball Academy’s President, Coach, Public outreach and canvassing advisor. He is currently a National Guard Soldier this allows him to help the children with structure, prioritization, and guidance. He also helps run another non profit called Galius Martial Arts which has up to 8 attendees Mondays and Wednesdays.

Matthew Manalo

Co-founder/vice president/coach

Matthew Manalo who is the Vice President/ Coach is a Waialua Highschool graduate class of 2008 and was the starting point giuard for the Varsity team. Matthew has a great basketball I.Q., as well as a great passion for the game. He has an expertise in playing on-ball defense along with being a pure point guard. He participated in coaching the Waialua Intermediate teams. Matthew is a father of three babies at the ages of 4 years old, 3 years old and a baby of 6 months. He is really inspired by the thought of the non profit to give children just like his own an opportunity that he never had growing up in the North Shore Community. He makes an honest living as a Waiter at the local famous restaurant Cholos. Prior to having the non profit Matthew also helped kids at Waialua Recreational Facility to polish up their basketball skills.

Cassidy Klinefelter

Co-founder/secretary/coach

​Our Secretary/ Coach Cassidy Klinefelter is a Waialua Highschool graduate class of 2008 and played for the Varsity Basketball team. He is currently a locker room team attendant for the Sacramento Kings and has been with the organization for four seasons now. Working closely with NBA players and coaches, he continues to gain valuable knowledge on what it takes to compete at the highest level. Cassidy just finished his 3rd year as an assistant coach for varsity boys at Sacramento Waldorf School, league champions 2016, 2017, 2018. Working under the head coach of Sacramento Waldorf Dean Stark, who was named California’s coach of the year in 2017 for highschool basketball. He also has 7 years of basketball personal training and highly skilled at youth development, supervising coaches, and involving parents in their children's athletic development/ programing.
